Elementary School Fine Arts

The Elementary School Fine Arts program showcases a vast array of curriculum including musical theatre, worship team, honor choir, band, and art appreciation. All students have an opportunity to perform at the Christmas and Spring musicals. Performances include dramatic roles, new songs, choreography, and many American Sign Language movements. The worship team leads praise songs during chapels and is open to fourth and fifth grade students. Also open to this age group is honor choir who will perform for adjudicators during the ACSI Choral Festival.

Elementary students are also offered weekly wind instrumental lessons and full-band rehearsals if they chose to join the Elementary School Band. This class lays the foundation for Concert, Pep, Pit and Jazz Bands. Another foundational class is art appreciation. Students replicate artist’s paintings including still life, flowers, landscapes, seascapes, and animals. They work with charcoal, oil and chalk pastels, poster and acrylic paints, watercolors, and mixing a variety of mediums.
